10/2 - BOOK PRESENTATION: 'NATUURWIJN'

On October 2nd we’ll proudly host the book presentation of "Natuurwijn, een helder verhaal over troebele wijn". Written by Niels van Laatum (@nezpourvin), a former sommelier and long-time friend of the shop, it’s the first Dutch book about natural wine – explaining in easy-to-read, accessible language what it is, who makes it and where, how it all started, what the current trends are and what the future looks like.

It thorougly details the intricacies and pitfalls of natural winemaking, describes what styles like pét-nat and orange wine are and pays special attention to the hotspots in Europe and natural winemakers in the Netherlands, including interviews with winemakers, wine importers, connoisseurs and glassware producers from home and abroad. In short: it's the perfect book to get you started on this wild and free subject.

We’ll kick off the event at 16:00/4PM with an introduction to the book by Niels, accompanied by a slew of interesting natural wines that are open for tasting and some finger-lickingly good bread by Rise Bakery on the side. 

We will be open until 20:00/8PM that day, so come by, say hi, get your book signed and have a drink with us. You can order your copy online and pick it up then, but of course  it will also be available for purchase in-store that Saturday.
