After the resounding success of her other wines, it was only logical that we add Christine Pieroth’s 2019 Ponderosa to our range. In the own words of this amazing Winzerin from Germany’s Nahe:
Cuvée from mostly Pinot Gris with a pinch of Pinot Noir, both grown on slate. The name is a nickname for this group of vineyards. All handpicked, tiny berries that were fermented wholebunch/semi-carbonique for a week. The berries really tasted amazing during this fermentation, like delicious bubbly-fruit-bombs full of tension. They got gently pressed and finished fermentation in used oak barrels. It was sitting on the full lees until april and was bottled unfiltered and unfined, no SO2 added. Nothing added, nothing removed.
Just look at the color in that shiny markthomas_finest_glassware Double Bend Red. Curious? Pass by the shop for a tasting!
