Carl Koch
Carl Koch is a family winery founded in 1833 by Friederich Koch, a pharmacist, who made wine for his hobby and had purchased some vines for this purpose. His son Carl Expanded the domain to the size they have today. Now the 7th generation runs the domain but they don't make their own wine. That is what Agustin Novoa does. The always smiling Agustin is a born and raised Argentinian who learned the winemaking skills in the U.S., New Zealand and Italy. In the latter, he went on to specialize in colder climates. Since 2018, he has been the cellar master at Carl Koch and has slowly introduced the CK line. A completely natural line of different cuvees to which he prefers to add he-all-nothing. deliciously wild, unfiltered and a gigantic high drink-through level. Nice work Agustin!
