Carl Koch
Weingut Carl Koch is a family domain founded in 1833 by Friederich Koch, a pharmacist, who made wine for his hobby and had acquired some vineyards around Oppenheim. His son Carl later expanded the domain. Now already the 7th generation Koch at the domain - but they don't make wine themselves. That's what Agustin does: the always good-tempered born-and-raised Argentinian who learned the winemaking craft in the U.S., New Zealand and Italy. Since 2018, he has been the cellar master at Carl Koch and has slowly introduced the CK “natural” wines. A completely natural line of different cuvees that he prefers to do absolutely nothing to. Deliciously wild, but juicy, unfiltered and a massive drink-through content. Always spot-on and no wine faults.
