The vines of this weissburgunder stand on weathered red slate, and receive a week of semi-carbonic maceration after hand-picking. After this, the grapes are gently pressed, and stay in old wooden barrels for 9 months. Bottled without filtration nor sulphites. The distinctive hand of Christine shines in the wine as well: refined, contrarian, powerful but never one dimentional, and elegant with great depth.
Piri has imbued the weissburgunder with a restrained and soft character, which gives the wine a refined structure and at the same time offers a lot of tension. Transparent, idiosyncratic but not averse. Champagne brioche alternates with lemon zest, granny smith, full concentration, fantastic grip and elegance. An inviting wine!
